The screw-top canning jar is designed to work with either the Familia Wiss two-part cap and lid or a standalone plastic screw-top lid. For preserves that need to be heat treated, the two-part sealing cap and full lid ensure a tight seal the first time for a long-term shelf life. The full lid means you don't have to worry about handling the cap once your canned goods have been opened and stored in the refrigerator. The cap and lid allows you to can in bulk with one-, two- or three-liter jars. For preserves that don't need to be heat treated, the bright orange screw-top lid screws on and off easily and clearly identify which of your canned goods have been heat treated in the pantry or refrigerator. Made from flexible yet sturdy plastic, these durable lids won't rust or corrode, and they can be washed and reused.

The 3-liter size is good for family-sized soups or sauces, full pickles and vegetables, whole tomatoes and fruits, kimchi and sauerkraut. 101 oz. capacity. 10.75" tall. Comes standard with 110 mm two-part sealing cap and full lid. Standalone plastic cap sold separately. Once heat treated, the full lid should be removed and stored for later use and short-term storage in the refrigerator. Sealing caps cannot be reused and should be discarded once original seal is broken.
