There are many products for the home that are either made sustainably or have less impact on our environment with their use. From household cleaning products to natural bath & body, we have some great items to offer that are better for you, and our planet.
We think that every day should be Earth Day, but the month of April is always a good reminder to seek out sustainable and Earth-friendly options and work toward cultivating a zero-waste lifestyle. Retail and consumer industries notoriously generate a lot of waste, but thankfully there are products and companies out there making innovative changes. We strive to carry many items that fall under the umbrella of “eco-friendly” with the goal of generating less waste and creating more opportunities for reuse.
For the kitchen, we carry mostly compostable items like baking liners, parchment paper, and more!
There are washable bowl covers, and fruit and veggie covers and reusable Bees Wrap to help you eliminate plastic wrap. Brew your coffee and tea with compostable filters, or choose hemp or cotton reusable filters to wash and use again and again.
There are many reusable options for to-go in our housewares department! We have to-go cutlery including bamboo utensils, and beautiful napkin cutlery travel sets. We also have several different layered tiffin containers for meals and snacks on the go. Glass and stainless steel containers are perfect for lunches and storing leftovers.
We have sturdy wooden drying racks for clothing, natural laundry soap, beautiful baskets, and more. We also have an assortment of scrub brushes, biodegradable wash rags, natural dishwashing soaps, as well as eco-friendly cleaners for the home. Ditch the plastic packaging- new waste free dishwashing soap bars are available, as well as laundry soap sheets! Wash and dry your bags & bottles with our plastic bag dryers. (Also great for drying reusable non-plastic bags as well!) Check out our wide selection of kitchen supplies and basics next time you visit.
In our bath and body department, we have several options that have little to no packaging. Sappo Hill Soaps made in Ashland, Oregon come in bulk by the pound, and we also have full size bars sold separately with no packaging. Skip the plastic bottle and check out some of the many options for shampoo bars made with all natural ingredients that moisturize and clean, and scented with pure essential oils for a subtle, fresh smelling scalp. We have several different brands available- some online, check our housewares department for a full selection!
